When does Jyrgalan open

What is announced, what is confirmed, and the difference between them.

Not open yet

Not yet. The Jyrgalan zone is announced to open in December 2026.

Verified 29 August 2026

The announced opening date for the Jyrgalan zone is December 2026. A separate deadline was set for commissioning the pistes: before 1 December 2026. The first cable cars had a technical launch in July 2026 — that part is confirmed, but a technical launch and a working resort are not the same thing.

Planning a trip

What exactly will be running in December — how many lifts, how much terrain — has not been announced yet. If your trip depends on the lifts, it is worth choosing flexible-cancellation options and checking the status closer to your dates.

The Jyrgalan valley is a winter destination in its own right: ski touring, freeride and village guesthouses work independently of the resort infrastructure, and people already come for them.

What we verify on the ground

From the start of the season we record, for a specific date: which lifts are running, which pistes are open, what the pass costs at the window, whether the road is passable. Lines tagged "announced" are published plans; lines tagged "confirmed" are what has been checked.
